Stone Dressing & Maintenance Plimoth Grist Mill, Plymouth, MA

The Plimoth Grist Mill (click here to visit their website) regularly mills corn meal, sampe and other products from heritage corn varieties grown by regional farms. Their stones needed dressing. We worked with the miller, and apprenticing staff to dress the stones, followed by leveling the bedstone, tramming the spindle and balancing the runner stone. We also took apart and worked on the neck bearing and did other bits and bobs of general maintenance.
