Stony Brook Grist Mill, NY
The project involved disassembly, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of the mill’s primary drive systems—including the pit wheel, bevel gearing, shafting, and stone assembly. Accumulated debris, worn components and misalignment had compromised performance, thus much of the work centered on improving alignment, cleaning and lubrication. 1762 Waterworks Historic Behtlehem
This project involved comprehensive millwrighting maintenance and condition assessment at the 1762 Waterworks and the Burnside Plantation Horse Mill, focusing on preventive care, operational reliability, and long-term preservation planning. At the Waterworks pumping mill, we performed detailed cleaning and lubrication of all bearings, gears, wedges, and moving interfaces, including crankshaft bearings, gear teeth, pump cylinders, slide channels, and the water wheel assembly.


Hanford Mills Museum Turbine & Slide Gate
Millwright Jim Kricker and Husk, maintanced and repaired the slide gate for the penstock. Work included: Tarped and sandbagged head gate, pond was drained, built a sort of cofferdam, continually pumped, dug muck down to below the gate, pressure washed gate, assessed gate and grout, heat-dried grout and painted where accessible with Block and Wall Liquid Rubber Paint, measured, laid out and cut new white oak wood spacers, loosened bolts and slid in spacers, test fit and refine
